QuranApp ("the App") is developed and published by Developersh ("we", "us"), based in Chile. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy.
Contact: contacto@developersh.cl
This policy explains what information the App handles, why, and what choices you have. It applies to the Android app distributed through Google Play, including versions distributed for internal, closed or open testing.
The App is designed to work without an account. The following stays in local storage on your device and is not transmitted to us:
QuranApp does not include analytics, advertising or crash-reporting software. We do not build a profile of you and we do not track your activity across other apps or websites.
When you play a recitation, the App may request the corresponding audio file from our content servers or a content delivery network. That request includes standard technical information such as your IP address and device type, which is processed by the hosting provider to deliver the file. Downloaded audio, where available, is stored on your device.
If you email us, we keep your message and address to answer you and to keep a record of the issue.
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Internet / network state | Load recitation audio and check for content updates |
| Notifications (optional) | Daily reading reminders, only if you enable them |
| Storage / media (optional) | Save downloaded audio for offline listening |
| Foreground service / wake lock | Keep audio playing while the screen is off |
You can revoke any permission in your device settings. Some features will stop working without them.
We rely on a small number of providers who process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms:
We do not use any analytics, advertising or attribution service. These providers are not permitted to use your information for their own unrelated purposes.
The App is currently free and contains no payment features. In a future version we intend to offer:
When those features launch, payments will be processed by Google Play Billing or another licensed payment provider. Your card number, bank details and billing address are handled entirely by that provider. We never receive or store them. We receive only a transaction confirmation and, where required, an anonymised order identifier for support and refunds. This policy will be updated before any payment feature becomes available.
To request deletion of anything we hold, write to contacto@developersh.cl.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Users in California may request disclosure of the categories of information collected and may opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" — we do neither.
To exercise a right, email contacto@developersh.cl. We reply within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or UK and are not satisfied, you may complain to your local data protection authority.
The App is suitable for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Data in transit is protected with HTTPS/TLS. Data you create is kept in the App's private storage area on your device, which other apps cannot read on a non-rooted device. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our providers may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Where required, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or another approved safeguard.
We may update this policy as the App evolves — in particular when donations and paid recitation are introduced. The "Last updated" date at the top will change, and material changes will be announced in the App or on the Google Play listing before they take effect.
